The FD 8902B combines the power and features of the FD 8902CC with an Output Baler for convenient disposal of shredded material. The Baler continually compacts shredded material into a bale, which is then ejected into a plastic bag for easy disposal. The FD 8902B can shred stacks of computer forms, cardboard, tapes, ribbons, CDs, magnetic disks, and entire files up to 650 sheets, at a speed of up to 35 fpm. Standard features include an LED Control Panel with load indicator, heat-treated solid-steel cutting blades, a powerful AC geared-motor, and a variety of safety features. Shredding blades can also be customized to meet your specific needs. The standard EvenFlowTM automatic oiling system with 25 heavy-duty copper nozzles lubricates the cutting blades, helping to keep the FD 8902B in peak operating condition. | |

| User-Friendly Control Panel The FD 8902B offers unmatched automated features through its LED control panel. The easy-to-read Load Indicator assists operators in determining how close they are to the maximum shred capacity to avoid jams and provide optimal efficiency. Operators can select from two modes of operation: Auto Start/Stop or Manual. Auto Start/Stop mode utilizes optical sensors which detect paper and start/stop operation automatically. Manual mode provides non-stop operation for shredding small sized paper or films. The Safety Key Lock prevents unauthorized use of the shredder. |  |

This massive piece of equipment accommodates several hundred users in a government building. The FD8902B is designed for heavy-duty jobs. It has the ability to take care of jobs that may take other shredders hours to complete in only a fraction of the time.
Before ordering the shredder, it is important to know a few things. The machine is huge. It weighs 3,000 pounds. I needed a forklift to get the shredder to its present location. I also found out that there were special power requirements that I needed to take care of before ordering the shredder. It requires a three phase dedicated line that is 220V and 50/60 Hz. It is a lot easier to have this taken care of before the shredder is delivered.
The FD8902B can shred anything. I have put zip disks, DVDs, and floppy disks in this machine, and it executed the job with ease. I can put up to 650 pages of documents in the shredder and the extremely powerful motor and stainless steel blades take care of the job. It also has a 154 gallon compressed bale that I can line with bags to cut down on the time it takes me to empty the waste.
The shredder is extremely easy to use for a shredder this sized. I love the optical sensor function that lets the machine start and stop automatically. There is also a feature on the control panel that lets me know if I am over-feeding the machine. This has turned out to be a good investment so far. Write a review
