This item was purchased as an office shredder to replace an older one. It has taken everyone in the office a few tries to learn to use the new shredder, but everyone seems to know how to operate the FD8802SC with ease. We have owned this shredder for a few weeks now, and we all love it.
The shredder is very large, and it takes up lots of space. It sits in room with a copy machine so it is not in the way in any of our offices. We all like the fact that is only has 8 buttons on the control panel, making it easy for everyone. In addition, a valuable overload indicator light lets us know if there is too much paper in the feeding area. This heavy-duty industry can shred up to 125 sheets at once. There is no need to remove paper clips and staples because this shredder can take on these jobs with ease. We can place stacks of folders, tapes, magnetic disks, and stacks of computer papers in the feeding area, and the machine takes care of these jobs quickly.
The feeding area is 16-inches wide so the heavy-duty shredder can take on any tasks. The shredder has a mobile waste bin that makes disposing of the waste in the basket easy for everyone in the office. There is a handy auto reverse feature that prevents paper jams from shutting down the shredder. The level 2 shredder cuts the documents into strips to protect confidential information.
