Dahle's 20422 is built with a 9 1/2" feed opening to accommodate both letter and legal size paper with ease. This cross-cut machine offers a 1/12" x 7/16" particle size and is able to shred to security level 4 standards. All you need to do is decide what document to shred and this Dahle Small Office shredder will take care of the rest.
This professional shredder is constructed using a wooden cabinet with swing open door. The door hides the addition of a removable Shred Box which makes changing bags easier. This box can be easily lined with Dahle’s Disposable Shred Bags and emptied or recycled when full. If you’re not sure when that will be - don’t worry. Your shredder will inform you with its visual warning indicators. Once your shredder is empty and the door is closed, it will resume normal operation.

The Dahle 20422 is a great office shredder for businesses and organizations that need a shredder that does not compromise their security. This security level 4 shredder has proven to be a great investment. I love more things about this machine than the few issues that I have with it. I have outlined the good and bad aspects of the shredder as I see it.
Good-
• The shredder has quite a few safety features. The machine can turn itself off and on when the door is opened or when the bag is full. The machine offers easy access to each of these areas. The shredder also has a function that automatically senses the presence of documents and starts automatically.• The cutting heads are made of strong steel. The machine uses stacked cutting heads that are German made. The manufacturer offers a lifetime warranty on the cutting heads. The strong steel can slice through paper as well as staples and paper clips. This is amazing for a shredder this size.• The shredder is amazingly quiet. Wood and rubber make up the encasing of the cutting heads. This technology helps to reduce the noise by reducing the vibration in the cabinet.Bad-
• This shredder is not designed for a large amount of shredding. It can handle between 100-400 sheets per day, which is good enough for our office. Large jobs will need to be spread over several days to prevent the shredder from malfunctioning.• The shredder can only handle 12 sheets of paper at once. Again, this is not a heavy-duty shredder. It is best that users do small jobs over time to maintain the best performance of this machine.Write a review
