Dahle's 20430 is built with a 9 1/2" feed opening to accommodate both letter and legal size paper with ease. This cross-cut machine offers a 1/32" x 7⁄16" particle size and is able to shred to security level 5 standards. All you need to do is decide what document to shred and this Dahle Small Office shredder will take care of the rest.
This professional shredder is constructed using a wooden cabinet with swing open door. The door hides the addition of a removable Shred Box which makes changing bags easier. This box can be easily lined with Dahle’s Disposable Shred Bags and emptied or recycled when full. If you’re not sure when that will be - don’t worry. Your shredder will inform you with its visual warning indicators. Once your shredder is empty and the door is closed, it will resume normal operation.

Dahle has made my life easier with the creation of the 20430 shredder. It is important that we have a reliable shredder in our office to destroy all of our confidential documents related to our business. There were so many different paper shredders to choose from, but Dahle was the most impressive shredder with the most features.
It was important to me that I find a shredder that was not too noisy. With a copier and fax in the office making a great deal of noise, I wanted something that would not add to the abundance of distractions that I already have. I liked that this has a noise reduction mechanism built into the shredder that cuts down on the amount of vibration in the cabinet. This feature helps me to be more productive.
I have to admit that this is not a machine that anyone should own for its amazing shredding capacity. It only shreds about 5-6 sheets of paper at a time, but it does have the capacity to shred nearly 400 sheets of paper in a day. The reason for the low shredding capacity is that it is a level 5 security shredder. The machine is a cross cut shredder that cuts the paper into tiny bits, which was the reason I purchased the shredder. My office deals with a great deal of confidential documents so this shredder is perfect. Everyone in the office seems to like the shredder because it is reliable and easy to use.
