The Intimus departmental paper shredder does a great job of destroying any paper and media that enter the feeding area. This is a large, heavy-duty shredder that can take on large shredding tasks with ease. Here are the features that I love about this machine: • Easy to operate • Maintenance free • Continuous duty motor • Automatic reverse for paper jams • Large shredding capacity • Removable catch basket with mobile base • Wide feeding area • Audible and optical fault indicator Perhaps the most amazing feature that this machine has to offer is the shredding capacity. This is one of the rare machines that handle media and paper. It makes the shredder a greater asset to companies that want to protect the personal information of their clients. It can handle 70-80 sheets of paper at one time through the 17-inch feeding area. This is the largest throat size that I have ever seen on a shredder. I even took a few old credit cards and placed it through the feeding area, and they were destroyed in a matter of seconds. It has a powerful 5.33hp motor for the job. I found many other shredders that had less than half of this shredders’ motor capacity. There is an enormous 46-gallon waste bin that you should not expect to fill soon. It is a cross-cut shredder so it will take a long time to fill this bin. Even crumpled paper is no match for this shredder.
