The MBM Destroyit 2240 Cross Cut Shredder is an ideal shredder for office and personal document shredding. 2240 Cross Cut shredder features a photo cell controlled automatic start and stop function, and a single multifunction switch with pilot light for stand-by/stop/reverse. The Destroyit 2240 Cross Cut shredder also has hardened steel cutting shafts that will easily dispose of staples and paper clips. The Destroyit 2240 Cross cut shredder comes equipped with a quiet and powerful single phase motor and fully enclosed, dust-proof gearbox housing. 5 gallon bin capacity and has double protection against overheating. With MBM limited lifetime warranty cross-cut cutting shafts and wheels and one year warranty on all other parts, excluding wearables.

Turn the rocker switch to position "I". The paper shredder is now ready to shred paper. After shredding turn rocker switch to position "0".

Turn the main switch to position "I": The green control light will light. Ready for operation. Starts automatically when paper is inserted. Stops automatically when no further paper is inserted.

Stops automatically if too much paper is inserted. (Machine blocks).

Press reverse button and remove paper. Reset by pressing the rocker switch to position "I".Re-feed the paper in smaller quantities

Empty the shred box when it is full.(Level can be seen in the window (A), only IDEAL 2260).

If the sheet capacity reduces or after the shred bin is emptied oil the shredding mechanism! (see picture)

Empty the shred bin daily to stop the cutting head getting blocked!

Paper shredders fall into six levels of security level 1 (lowest) to level 6 (highest) as defined in DIN32757. These levels have been defined under different considerations about information media and security required. For normal home use then a lower level of security is suitable. For an office where information such as personnel and wage documents are being disposed, then a higher level (cross cut shredder model) would be suitable.

Description:	Designed for Confidential documents

Description:	Designed for Sensitive documents

Level 5
Description:	Designed for Top Secret - Secret documents
Usage:	Designed and approved by the U.S. Department of Defense and the Canadian R.C.M.P. for top secret shredding. Ideal for high-security requirements.
Cutting:	0.8 x 12 mm particles (Top Secret or Classified)
Standard Measurement:	1/32" x 3/8-1/2" Cross Cut
Level 6
Description:	For Highest Security - (Not DIN listed- this level of security is not listed in DIN32757 standards
Usage:	This is the highest level of shredder security currently available. Backed by the U.S. government and the NSA. Ultra secure shredding for the most sensitive documents.
