The 240.1 S5 efficiently cuts 1/4” strips at a speed of 8 ft. / min with its carbon hardened cutting knives. These shredded strips are stored in a 10.5 gallon waste bin which has as LED light indicator when the bin gets full or when the door is open. Kobra 240.1 S5 not only shreds paper but also has the ability to shred other materials such as credit cards with chip, CDs/DVDs and floppy disks.
