The Swingline DS22-19 is a strip cut shredder intended for departmental use or small scale shredding jobs. The Swingline DS22-19 has a level-2 security configuration and generates a strip cut particle size of ¼ inches. This Swingline shredder has a 10 inch wide throat size. The DS22-19 strip cut shredder and can shred paper, optical media, credit cards, staples, and paper clips.
Swinglines's patented Jam Free technology enables the Swingline DS22-19 shredder to prevent any sort of paper jams. Moreover, this Jam Free shredder can shred continuously as it comes with thermal overload protection. The DS22-19 strip cut shredder is an intelligent shredder; it stops shredding if excessive papers have been fed. In addition, this Jam Free shredder automatically activates a sleep mode (while not in use) thereby reducing energy consumption.
The Swingline DS22-19 shredder has a wire-frame waste bin configuration and thus, this Jam Free shredder can utilize either paper or plastic bags for waste collection. This Swingline shredder comes with a bin size of 19 gallons; which is sufficient to accommodate large amounts of shredded waste. The DS22-19 Swingline shredder includes a bin full indicator that intimates the user when the shredder has reached its waste capacity. The DS22-19 Jam Free shredder supports a lifetime warranty on the cutting blades. DS22-19 strip cut shredder has a shred speed of 16 feet per minute; this strip cut shredder can grate 22 sheets at a time in its manual feed mode.
